There are multiple voices calling out for your attention. These voices are varied and each voice wants something different. Our culture has deteriorated to the point that it is easy to become numb. With so many voices vying for our attention, it is easy to block out all the voices. Let me be a voice crying out in the wilderness today.

God has given us a window of opportunity to repent and turn from our wicked ways. God will have His way. Society leads us to believe that more is everything. Whether the more is houses, cars, clothes, or relationships, it doesn’t matter. The very word less implies something doesn’t meet the standard.

I am suggesting something extraordinarily different. I am suggesting that each one of us take time to be alone with God, and discover His plan for our lives. Ask God which material things you need to remove from your life. There are good things in your lives keeping away the great things.

We need to wake up and realize that we are near the end of the church age. The end of this age will signify the return of Jesus. I do not know the day or the hour Jesus will return: only the Father knows. However, when I read the Bible and watch current events unfolding, I discern the signs of the times.

Let me ask you a question, if the event the church teaches as the gathering of the dead in Christ and the rapture were to happen today, how many people would be left on this earth? If the number were only one, then it would still be too many. That number would probably be much greater. We cannot idly sit by and do nothing.

What if I called you to wake up, get up, and stand up? What if I called you to make a decision to put Jesus at the center of everything you do? What if I were to ask you to become Jesus’s mouth, hands, and feet? Would you consider downsizing some of the material things in your life? Would you take a good look at the activities in your life and consider removing the clutter? Examine the activities in your life that are temporal and not eternal. Would you consider giving away some of your material things to meet the needs of those without food, shelter, and clothing? Would you reach out to those who have spiritual needs? Would you open your eyes to see what is happening in your neighborhood, your city, your state, your nation, and your world? Would you consider becoming part of the solution?

John Wesley once said, “Catch on fire with enthusiasm and people will come for miles to watch you burn.” People came from all over the world to hear John Wesley preach the Word of God. The prophet Jeremiah described God’s Word as fire shut up in his bones. We need fire in our inner beings to burn for Christ.

I would respectfully submit that it is time for us to get more than enough Word in our bellies. We need to get more than enough prayer in our lives. We need to get more than enough of the presence of the Lord, so that we have an overabundance to share with other people. You might ask who needs this overabundance?  Look all around you! The harvest is full!

I believe if you are reading this, then God has lead you here.  I believe you have greatness in you! I believe that your heavenly Father placed greatness inside of you. God will use you, if you allow Him. What a time we live in. Remember it was said of Esther that for such a time as this she was born. I say with great certainty you were born for such a time as this.

I believe if you start living with “less” in your life, that it will actually lead to a life with “more” in it.
